Special welding electrode for stainless and heat-resistant steels

AMA 1468J

AWS/ASME SFA – 5.4 : ~E 312–16
Comparable No.of material: 1.4337
prEN 1600: E 29 9 R 12

Application/properties:

Electrode for joining of dissimilar steels and for surfacing purposes. The weld metal consists of ferritic-austenitic Cr-Ni-steel with a delta ferrite content of approximately 50% and non-scaling up to 1100°C. It features high resistance to cracking and is therefore indicated for difficult to weld steels and depositing stress-relaxing buffer layers on crack sensitive base metals. It is suitable for welding galvanized steels. Fine droplet metal transfer, good wash-in of joint sides, finely-rippled bead surface, easily removable slag. Easy arc striking and restriking.
