Application / Properties:

AMA-APGLV submerged arc welding flux is an alkaline type that produces a weld with low Si with S1z wire. Considering that in welding galvanized baths, if the amount of Si in the weld is high due to the reaction between the elements Fe, Si and Zn, a phase is formed that is very susceptible to cracking, therefore, the combination of this flux and S1z wire results in a minimum amount of Si in the weld, which is suitable for welding galvanized baths.

The wet powder must be dried again at a temperature of 300 to 350 degrees Celsius.•

•The granulation of this powder complies with DIN 32 522:2–16 standard.
